XIII Jornadas de Pinchos del Botillo with 14 participating establishments

This Friday will be the start of the XIII Jornadas de Pinchos del Botillo, to be held on January 26th, 27th and 28th, and February 2nd, 3rd and 4rd. On this occasion 14 establishments of Bembibre will meet in this event to demonstrate their mastery in the gastronomic creation with pinchos(tapas) that promise to be spectacular.

Price 1€

All botillo pinchos will be available at the single price of 1 €. The schedule will be on Fridays from 19:00 to 22:00 hours and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 19:00 to 22:00 hours.

In addition to tasting the delicious creations proposed, the days include a contest to determine the best botillo tapa. A jury, appointed by the Sectorial Council of Commerce, will evaluate the participating pinchos, awarding points from 1 to 5 in each of the following criteria: *taste *originality in design *difficulty in preparation. In addition, those who decorate their premises will receive an extra point.

This year, as a new aspect, the popular vote of those who wish to contribute with their assessment will be taken into account. The only requirement is to have tasted all the pinchos by filling in each establishment the booklet that will receive in any of the participants. Once the tour has been completed, they will give their evaluation that will allow three finalist pinchos to be chosen, which will receive an additional score of 5, 3 and 2 points respectively. A ham will be raffled among those who cast their vote.

The jury will meet on February 8th to choose the winners of the contest. The prizes will be awarded once they have finished their deliberations and the popular vote has been counted.

The date is another new aspect of this edition since the decision will be known after the “Jornadas de Pinchos” and the ” Botillo´s Festival”.

The Sectorial Council of Commerce has introduced the requests of the innkeepers and will do everything in its power to make the Jornadas de Pinchos a success.
