La Garimba wins the contest of the “Jornadas de Pinchos del Botillo”

The “Botillo freestyle” pincho of La Garimba has won the first prize in the XIII Jornadas de Pinchos del Botillo. This was decided by the jury, meeting yesterday at the house of cultures, which incorporated the score of the popular vote to decide the six best rated pinchos in the contest.

The winner received a plaque and a weekend away for two people. In second place was bar Di Vino, with the pincho “Croqueta de botillo envuelta en panko con cremoso de patata y alioli de chorizo”, which received a plaque and dinner at La Piedra restaurant; while in third place was The Boulevard with the pincho “Flor de botillo con crujiente de repollo” which won a plaque and a ham.

The establishments that achieved fourth, fifth and sixth place were, respectively, La Oficina with the pincho “Nueva sopa berciana”, La Tapería with its “Paloma de botillo”, and La Obrera that offered a “Botillo deluxe”. All received the corresponding commemorative plaques to recognize the work and quality of their creations.

One of the new aspects of this edition was the contribution of the popular jury through the vote deposited in the ballot boxes that were distributed among the participating establishments. This jury coincided with the general jury in the first two classified (La Garimba and Di Vino), while the third establishment most voted by the public was La Oficina.

The Jornadas de Pinchos del Botillo have become a showcase of innovation and gastronomic creativity based on the botillo, leaving an unforgettable taste in the palate of the public.

The organization, which falls to the Sectorial Council of Commerce, has thanked the 14 participating establishments and jurors who sampled each and every one of the pinchos, and especially those who made their respective contributions becoming popular jury.
