The Festival
Bembibre’s Botillo Festival has become one of the most important gastronomic events in Spain to honour our emblematic embutido. it is also considered a Festival of National Tourist Interest in the country.
The first edition was in June 1973, during the feast of the Departure of the Saint, which is held every seven years. Since that date, the Festival’s periodicity is annual, establishing the date of celebration as “the Saturday preceding the Saturday of Carnival.”
