Bembibre’s Botillo Festival, one of the outstanding elements of the municipality in the ‘World Map Challenge’

Bembibre participated last May in the so-called ‘World Map Challenge’, an Ecovidrio initiative to stimulate recycling. The challenge was overcome. It involved increasing the amount of recycled glass by 10% for May and June. The municipality got its prize: five containers vinyl with representative elements of the municipality.

The big surprise has been that the Botillo and its Festival are part of the highlights that represent Bembibre, along with other elements such as the Town Hall, the Benevivere Theatre, the House of Cultures, San Pedro’s Church, the Sanctuary of the Ecce Homo, the Gil y Carrasco and the miner roundabouts and Bembibre Arena pavilion.

Moreover, all this without forgetting the importance of domestic recycling. In this case, glass, but also plastics, cardboard and oils, in the corresponding containers distributed around town.
