The Bembibre Botillo Festival has taken a further step in the institutional field with the start of a series of twinning agreements with the municipalities in which one of the ingredients of the sausage prevails. The first location was in 2016 Jaraíz de la Vera (Cáceres), known as the world capital of paprika. One of the fundamental ingredients of sausage.

The objective is to continue strengthening ties with these municipalities in the next editions of the Festival that allow the virtues of the botillo and the event to be publicised beyond the municipality and the Bierzo region, as well as to bring these and other agri-food products closer to Bembibre.
