1990- Establishment of the Cultural Week
After the split of the cultural and gastronomic events, and a first attempt in 1984 to launch a week focused on the cultural events of the Bembibre Botillo Festival, during the years 1988-1989 the Corporation once again concentrated its efforts on the cultural aspect with the organization of specific activities.
As stated in the Historical Memory of the National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo, “it represents an advance by achieving the participation of various groups, which with their contribution will enhance the development of the acts.”
Not only the literary contest, but also a photographic contest focused on Bercian themes; and the writing contest; ´Children’s show´.
Thus, in 1990 the culmination of this stage that includes the period 88-90s would take place with the reinstatement of the Cultural Week. This has been maintained with each edition of the Botillo Festival.
