Bembibre’s Botillo Festival combined sports and gastronomy in 2017 thanks to its mantenedor, the former coach and former footballer Vicente del Bosque.

As a footballer, del Bosque He spent almost all of his career at Real Madrid (1968-1984), a team with which he played 339 official matches, winning five Leagues and four Cups. He was a real international when playing in 18 matches representing Spain (1975-1980).

As a coach, he managed Real Madrid (1999-2003), winning, among other titles, an Intercontinental Cup, two Champions Leagues and two League Championships. He had a relevant role coaching the Spanish team (2008-2016). With him the Spanish team won the 2010 World Cup and the Euro 2012.

He was distinguished by FIFA as the best coach of the world in 2012. He was also honoured by King Juan Carlos I in 2011, awarding him the title of First Marquis of Del Bosque.
