The famous TV chef Sergio Fernández Luque was mantenedor (chairman) of Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo on its XLI edition the 2nd of February 2014. He had a space in Las Mañanas de la 1 called “Saber cocinar”. There he became to be well known. He was also a cooking teacher in Madrid and wrote several cookbooks.
Born in Córdoba, on Christmas Eve 1976, his passion for cooking comes from his grandfather (a pastry chef) and his mother (also a cook). He studied to work at restaurants, business management and tourism activities at the Escuela Superior de Hostelería y Turismo de Madrid. He also studied at Escuela de Hostelería de Tours to complete his training.
In that year Bembibre was looking for a Mantenedor related to the gastronomic field, in accordance with the cultural manifestation such as the Botillo Festival.
