Consuelo Álvarez de Toledo degree in Law and Journalism. She was chairwoman at Bembibre’s Botillo Festival on February 2nd 1991.
She started working in the legal field advising different companies. Affiliated to PSOE, she directed since 1976 El Socialista, the official press publication of the political party. The publication aim was to become a means for the party to express itself since 1886. At that time, Alfonso Guerra was the director of the internal newspaper. Guerra was also Secretary of Propaganda in PSOE at that time. Álvarez de Toledo lasted six months in El Socialista.
A year later she became enrolled in EFE Agency and she was sent to cover the parliamentary information in the middle of the Spanish transition.
She became a prominent political analyst in the country, in different media such as written press, radio and television.
