Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo, ‘Pencho Cros’ award in gastronomy at the Cante de las Minas de La Unión Festival
Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo and the International Festival Cante de las Minas de La Unión (Murcia) began the twinning protocol in February 2020, on the occasion of the last edition of the gastronomic event in Bierzo. This year, our most representative event has received the ‘Pencho Cros’ Gastronomy award.
This announcement is made on the occasion of the selective tests that have taken place in Fabero, in the emblematic facilities of the mining Well Julia, on June 5th.
The recognition of Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo takes place one year after El Bierzo received a tribute as a mining region on the occasion of the 58th edition of the prestigious flamenco and mining contest Cante de las minas.
El Botillo will receive the award called ‘Pencho Cros’ in the gastronomy section for the promotion and dissemination of the typical dish of the mining region of El Bierzo, which the XLVIII Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo dedicated to mining.
