The National Festival of Exaltation of the Botillo de Bembibre adds a new tourist recognition that highlights the importance of the event, which has been held in Bembibre since 1973. The El Bierzo County Council has approved a series of manifestations of regional interest in which it could not be missing this gastronomic event, which already has the declarations of provincial, regional and national interest.

The Plenary of the County Council unanimously approved on July 27 the declaration of a dozen festive events in El Bierzo, which already had declarations of interest in other areas.

In Bembibre, in addition to the National Festival of Exaltation of Botillo, the Salida del Santo also holds a recognition of regional interest, which is held every seven years and which will become a reality next year 2022.

The rest of the distinguished events in El Bierzo are: Pilgrimage of Trascastro (Fornela Valley), Artisan Bethlehem (Folgoso de la Ribera), Festa dos Maios (Villafranca del Bierzo), Pilgrimage of the Virgin of Fombasallá de Paradaseca (Villafranca del Bierzo) , Magosto (Páramo del Sil), Fiesta del Agua (Molinaseca), Procession of the Amortajados of Quintana de Fuseros (Igüeña), Magic Night (Balboa), Fiesta del Magosto (Santa Marisa del Sil) and Holy Week in Ponferrada.
