Separation of cultural and gastronomic events of Bembibre’s Botillo Festival
Seeing the growing interest in the festival and the difficulty of hosting the already nearly 800 attendees in the same place, Bembibre decided to host two separated acts for the celebration.
On the one hand, the auditorium of the Cinema Paz would host the cultural events, with the presence of authorities and mantenedor. That year, the ambassador of the “King” cold meat from Bierzo was the Leonese musician Odón Alonso. There was a sold out to witness Botillo’s cultural events then.
In addition to the presentation and welcome, the day served to deliver the prizes of the literary contest. Then the celebration continued with dinner and dancing at the New Brothers restaurant.
