Poster and literary competitions for the 52nd National Festival of Exaltation of Botillo have been announced
The Department of Culture, Festivals, Tourism and Commerce of the Bembibre Town Council has announced the poster and literary competitions for the 52nd National Festival of Exaltation of Botillo, which will be held on February 22. Each category includes a single prize of 500 and 1,000 euros, respectively.
It should be noted that the department headed by Belén Martín increased the prize money three years ago by 40% compared to previous editions.
The poster competition aims to encourage artistic creation to show the official image of the current edition of the Festival. Participants may send as many works as they consider appropriate until December 30, in accordance with the criteria established in the rules. The prize for the poster competition will be 500 euros.
The main novelty of this edition lies in the modification of the fourth point that contemplates the presentation of the works in digital format. Until now it was mandatory to do so in solid support with the consequent cost for the authors.

The veteran literary competition , which is part of the history of the Botillo Festival, will award the winner with 1,000 euros. This is a competition that attracts a significant number of participants from very different parts of Spain every year. The submission period will also be open until December 30.

The Department of Culture, Festivals, Commerce and Tourism and the Municipal Festival Board encourage artists, creators and writers, regardless of their origin, to participate in these competitions and contribute to the cultural enrichment of the Botillo Festival.
