Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo launches its website

Bembibre’s Botillo Festival has a website, www.festivaldelbotillo.com, to promote botillo’s cultural and gastronomic event. It is a dynamic site that will be updated periodically in order to give information about each edition.

The objective was to achieve an attractive web page, with a strong visual impact, easy navigation. A site with all the content to fulfil the citizens needs of knowledge about the Botillo’s Festival.

It will allow people to find out about the activities included in the Festival’s program and to purchase tickets online, when on sale. The website will treasure the complete information about the event, its history, the chair people who have passed through Bembibre, the gala dinner or the literary contest.

There is also a space for the Bembibre Agrofood Fair, which has been part of Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo since its origin, with a specific page that provides general information for both users and potential exhibitors.

There will be data about Bembibre itself: basic services, tourism and festivals. The news section with the latest information about the event; and chronological line with different relevant moments since its origin, in June 1973.

Web documentation

The documentation of the web has been obtained from the book “Historical Memory of Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo”, published by Manuel Olano Pastor and edited by the Department of Education and Culture of Bembibre in 2005 (second edition 2015), as well as the official reports used by the Bembibre Town Council for the dissemination and presentation of the event to other institutions.

The information of the chair people has been prepared based on the latest press releases issued by Bembibre Town Council and the aforementioned book by Manuel Olano Pastor. Regarding the chair people, it is important to point out that the information does not include biographical data, performances or merits beyond the year in which they participated in the corresponding edition of the Festival, discarding everything that happened from that moment (unless future revision).

Finally, the images that are included on the web have been obtained from the municipal archive of the Department of Culture, Commerce, Tourism and Festivities of the Town of Bembibre, and from different photographers who have captured some of the moments of the Botillo Festival.

Promising future

The website www.festivaldelbotillo.com was created with the aim of becoming an essential element for the future of the Bembibre’s National Festival for the Exaltation of Botillo.

In addition, the web will modify its structure to adapt to the needs of each edition, in such a way that it will not only be useful for the user due to its content, but also visually attractive.

Within the reach of a click to make it easier to access all information about Bembibre’s Botillo Festival.
